Shipping & Delivery

 

At Circulus Art, each artwork is handled individually and collected directly from the artist. Because the works we curate are original and not mass produced, shipping times and packaging can vary slightly from piece to piece. We aim to be transparent at every stage so you know exactly what to expect.

Where We Ship
We currently ship within the United Kingdom and to selected European countries.
If you are based elsewhere and interested in a particular artwork, please get in touch. We are happy to explore shipping options on a case-by-case basis and provide a tailored quote where possible.

Dispatch Times
Artworks are packaged individually by the artist and collected by courier.
We endeavour to dispatch artworks as soon as possible and within 14 days of purchase. If, for any reason, dispatch is expected to take longer, we will contact you promptly.
Delivery times vary depending on destination and courier.

Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout.
Courier prices vary depending on destination, size and weight. To keep things simple, we use average rates based on typical packaging dimensions. If the final shipping cost after packaging is lower than what you paid at checkout, we will automatically refund the difference.
If, once packaged, delivery to the address provided incurs a significant surcharge (for example due to remote location or oversized dimensions), we will contact you before dispatch to agree next steps.

Multiple Works by the Same Artist
If your order includes multiple works by the same artist, please complete your purchase as usual.
Once packaged, we will review whether combined shipping is possible. If the final shipping cost is lower, we will refund the difference automatically.

International Orders (Outside the UK)
Important Information
Orders shipped outside the UK are sent DAP (Delivered At Place, formerly known as DDU) unless otherwise agreed in writing.
This means:
• Circulus Art arranges and pays for shipping to your destination address.
Import VAT, customs duties and any courier clearance or handling fees are not included in the shipping charge.
‍ ‍• These charges, if applicable, are payable by the buyer directly to the courier before delivery.
The courier will contact you with instructions for payment in order to release the artwork from customs.
Once customs clearance is complete, the parcel will be delivered to your address.

It is your responsibility to:
• Monitor tracking information.
• Respond to courier communications.
• Pay any applicable import VAT, duties or clearance fees in a timely manner.
Failure to do so may result in delays, return of the artwork, storage fees and additional courier charges.
Any additional costs incurred due to non-payment or non-response will need to be covered by the buyer.

Paying Duties Upfront (DDP Option)
For higher-value artworks, we may be able to offer DDP (Delivered Duties Paid) on request, meaning import taxes and duties are paid upfront.
If you would prefer this option, please contact us before or immediately after purchase and we will provide a tailored quote where possible.

Safe Place & Missed Deliveries
If you choose to have your parcel delivered to a safe place or with a neighbour, responsibility for the parcel transfers to you once the courier confirms delivery to that location.
Circulus Art cannot be held responsible for loss or damage after confirmed delivery.

Sustainable Packaging
Sustainability matters deeply to Circulus Art, the artists we work with and our collectors.
We encourage artists to use recycled and reused packaging materials wherever possible, provided artworks are packed securely and safely. However, because many works are fragile and one-of-a-kind, fully sustainable packaging is not always possible.
Our priority is ensuring your artwork arrives safely.

If Something Goes Wrong
All artworks are carefully packaged and shipped using established courier services.
In the rare event of loss or damage in transit, we will work with you and the artist to reach a fair and prompt resolution.

If your parcel arrives damaged:
1. Take clear photographs of:
• The outer packaging
• Protective materials
• The artwork itself
2. Keep all packaging materials.
3. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
