Returns & Cancellations

 

At Circulus Art, each artwork is carefully packaged specifically for your order and collected directly from the artist’s studio. Many artworks are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. We encourage collectors to read artwork descriptions carefully and contact us with any questions before purchasing. We are always happy to provide additional information.

Your Right to Cancel
If you are purchasing as a consumer (not a business), you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the artwork.
To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us in writing (by email) within 14 days of delivery.
You then have a further 14 days to return the artwork to us.
This statutory right does not apply to commissioned, bespoke or personalised artworks, or to business purchases. For business purchases, returns are accepted at our discretion.

Conditions for Returns
To be eligible for a return:
• The artwork must be returned in its original condition.
• It must be securely packaged using the original packaging where possible (or packaging of equal or greater protection).
• The return shipment must be fully insured for the value of the artwork.
Because artworks are often one-of-a-kind, we cannot accept returns of works that have been damaged, altered or handled negligently after delivery.
If the artwork is returned in a condition that reduces its value due to handling beyond what is necessary to inspect it, Circulus Art reserves the right to make a deduction from the refund to reflect the loss in value.

Return Shipping Costs
For consumer cancellations exercised within the 14-day statutory period:
• The purchase price of the artwork and the original standard outbound shipping cost will be refunded.
• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
For business purchases:
• Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the business customer.
• Any agreed return must be authorised by Circulus Art in writing prior to shipment.
We strongly recommend that all returns are sent using a tracked and fully insured service. Circulus Art cannot accept responsibility for artworks lost or damaged in return transit.

International Orders & Import Charges
If you are returning an artwork from outside the UK, you are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping.
When returning an artwork from outside the UK, it is your responsibility to ensure that the shipment is correctly declared as a return. Any import duties, taxes, customs charges or administrative fees charged to Circulus Art as a result of incorrect customs documentation will be deducted from your refund.
If an international delivery is refused due to non-payment of import charges and returned to us, any return shipping costs, customs charges or administrative fees incurred will be deducted from your refund.

Refunds
Once the returned artwork has been received and inspected, we will process your refund within 14 days.
For consumer cancellations made within the 14-day statutory period:
• The purchase price of the artwork will be refunded.
• The original standard outbound shipping cost will also be refunded.
• Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
For international returns, any customs charges, import duties, administrative fees or additional costs incurred as a result of the return will be deducted from the refund where applicable.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method.

Damaged or Faulty Artwork
If your artwork arrives damaged:
1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
2. Provide clear photographs of:
• The outer packaging
• Protective materials
• The artwork
Please retain all packaging materials, as these are required for courier claims. Failure to retain the packaging may affect our ability to make a claim with the courier.
We will work closely with you and the artist to reach a fair resolution, which may include repair, replacement (where possible), or refund.

Non-Returnable Items
The following are not eligible for cancellation or return:
• Commissioned or personalised artworks.
• Artworks altered at the buyer’s request.
