Buyer Code of Conduct

At Circulus Art, we believe that collecting art is a relationship between the artist, the artwork, the collector and the platform that supports that connection. This code sets out the principles that guide purchases made through our platform.

Respect for Artists and Their Work
All artworks presented on Circulus Art represent significant creative time, skill and personal expression. We ask buyers to approach each purchase with care and consideration, recognising the value of original work.

Considered Purchasing
We encourage thoughtful purchasing decisions. Original artworks are not mass-produced items, and many are unique or made in small numbers. Please review descriptions, dimensions and images carefully before purchasing.

Supporting Artists Fairly
Circulus Art invests time, care and resources into presenting artists’ work and supporting their practice online. When artworks are purchased through our platform, this support allows us to continue working closely with artists and making their work visible and accessible.
For this reason, we kindly ask collectors not to approach artists directly to seek alternative pricing for works presented on Circulus Art.

Communication
We are always happy to answer questions about artworks, artists or practical details before a purchase is made. Clear communication helps ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.

Handling and Care
Once purchased, artworks should be handled, displayed and stored responsibly. Circulus Art cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from improper handling or storage after delivery.

Fair Use of Content
Images, videos and artist materials on this site are shared for viewing and appreciation. Copyright in the artworks remains with the respective artists. The content, presentation and materials published on this website are the intellectual property of Circulus Art and may not be copied, reproduced or used for commercial purposes without permission.

Mutual Trust
Circulus Art is built on trust and respect between buyers, artists and our platform. We expect interactions to remain courteous and considered and we reserve the right to decline service in rare cases where behaviour is abusive or clearly inconsistent with these values.
